Nat Gould

Ellen Gould 1872-1959

Ellen Gould was born in 1872 at Manchester, the daughter of Richard Goodwin Gould 1822-1892 and his wife nee Martha Wooddisse 1847-1922.

In 1895 she was married to Charles Henry Ridgway at Derby. They lived at 4 Exeter Place in Derby. Charles Henry Ridgway was described as a "Mechanic Iron Planer" in the 1901 Census Return and as an "Engineer Planer" in that of 1911.

They had one child, a son Frank Ridgway born in 1896 in Derby. He died in 1981 aged 85 years.

Charles Henry Ridgway died in 1916, and his widow was married to John Wotherspoon at Derby Register Office in 1919.

Ellen Wotherspoon nee Gould died on 8 October 1959 at Buxton in Derbyshire, and was buried at Longnor in Staffordshire.
