Edmund Humphrey Gould was born on 2 Feb 1882 in the homestead of Joyce, South Australia. He was the son of Edmund Gould 1851-1895 and his wife nee Emily Louisa Humphrey 1852-1928 (1).

He married Esther Ann Nosworthy 1876-1976 on 26 March 1913 at the Methodist Church in Conmurra, South Australia (2). She was born on 19 November 1876 in Black Swamp, South Australia, the daughter of George Drew Nosworthy and Grace Dufty.

Edmund Gould died on 29 July 1942 in Naracoorte, South Australia, and was buried on 30 July 1942 in Lucindale, South Australia (3).

His widow Esther Gouild died on 7 September 1976, and was buried on 9 September 1976 in Lucindale (4).

(2) The report in the Chronicle dated 3 May 1913 reads: "Marriage - Gould - Nosworthy - On the 26th March at Conmurra Methodist Church by Rev. A.M.Trengove, Edmund H., eldest son of Mrs. E.L.Gould Conmurra, to Esther A. (Ettie), youngest daughter of the late Mr. G.D.Nosworthy "Albynside" Conmurra.
(3) The report in the Advertiser dated 4 August 1942 reads: "Death - Gould - On July 28 at the Naracoorte Hospital, Edmund H. Gould, beloved husband of Esther A. Gould of Conmurra near Lucindale."
The report in the Naracoorte Herald dated 4 August 1942 reads: "Death - Gould - At the Naracoorte Hospital on July 29, Edmund Humphry Gould, dearly beloved brother of Mary and Percival. Aged 60 years. "at rest" ".
(4) The report in the Advertiser dated 8 September 1976 reads: "Death - Gould - Esther Ann of Lucindale on September 7 at the Botanic Park Nursing Home, the dearly loved wife of the late Edmund Gould in her 100th year". The Lucindale burial register reads: "of Hackney Road, Hackney".
