Mary Fletcher was born in 1801, the daughter of William Fletcher 1755-1839 and his wife née Mary Bagshaw 1768-1857.

On 23 October 1832 she was married to Peter Pichott Fidler 1798-1853 at Tissington in Derbyshire. They lived at Biggin Grange in Hartington parish, Derbyshire.

They had the following children:

Ann Pichot-Fidler. She was born in 1833, and baptised on 4 October 1833. She died aged three days, and was buried at Hartington on 8 October 1833.

Elizabeth Pichot-Fidler. She was born in 1835, and baptised on 1 September 1835. She was married on 18 June 1862 at Biggin church near Hartington to William Finney 1830-1873 of Boothlow near Longnor in Staffordshire (1). She died in 1908.

Mary Pichot-Fidler. She was born in 1837, and baptised on Staffordshire. She was married on 3 March 1863 at Biggin to Henry Bowyer Radford of Stanton House near Burton-on-Trent in Staffordshire (2). Sadly she died suddenly on 24 May 1864 of diphtheria aged only 26 years (3).

Their father Peter Pichott Fidler 1798-1853 was farming at Biggin Grange when the Census was taken in 1841. By 1851 he was there farming 380 acres and employing three men. He died on 10 August 1853 (4), and was buried at Biggin on 14 August 1853.

Their mother Mary Pichott Fidler nee Fletcher died on 6 September 1861.

Her Will was proved on 29 November 1861. Gilbert Gould 1821-1891 of Pilsbury Grange, her third cousin, was one of her executors (5).
