Mary Bagshaw 1768-1857

Mary Bagshaw was born in 1768 at Newton Grange near Tissington in Derbyshire, the daughter of Anthony Bagshaw 1736-1812 and his wife née Mary Berisford 1735-1810.

On 5 June 1798 she was married to William Fletcher 1755-1839 at Ashbourne parish church in Derbyshire.

They had the following children:

Elizabeth Fletcher. She was born on 12 May 1799. She was married to William Thomas Wilde.

Mary Fletcher. She was born in 1801. On 23 October 1832 she was married to Peter Pichott Fidler at Tissington in Derbyshire. She died in 1861.

William Fletcher. He was born in 1803. He married Mary Docksey 1804-1878, and died on 3 August 1868. He and his wife and son Thomas Fletcher 1840-1868 were buried at Tissington where there is a gravestone inscribed to their memory.

Ann Fletcher. She was born in 1805. She was married to John Tunnicliff.

Frances Fletcher. She was born in 1807. She was married to Robert Fayrer 1811-1850, and died on 15 April 1884.

Their mother Mary Fletcher née Bagshaw died in 1857, and was buried at Tissington.
