George Gould was born in 1882 in Victoria, Australia. He was the son of Charles Gould 1853-1889 and his wife née Grace Waters 1853-1889.

On 27 February 1913 he married Emily Olive Pitt at College Farm, Mount Benson, South Australia (1). She was born on 27 March 1886 at Currency Creek in South Australia, the daughter of Francis Pitt and his wife nee Mary Jane Cannon.

They had the following children:

Olive Grace Gould. She was born in 1914 in Beverly, Western Australia. She was married to Albert Oliver Lloyd on 12 April 1930 in the residence of Richard Oliver Lloyd, Barooka via Kingston, South Australia. He was born on 18 January 1908 in Sandy Grove, Kingston, the son of Richard Oliver Lloyd and his wife nee Hannah Matilda Naismith. She died on 23 August 1947 in Port Pirie South Australia (2).

Sybil Mary Gould. She was born on 24 Jun 1915 in Naracoorte, South Australia. She was married to Alfred William Welcome, son of Alfred James and his wife nee Charlotte Rose Platt. He was born on 3 December 1914 in Naracoorte, and died there on 15 March 1962. She died there on 27 August 1974.

John Nathaniel Gould. He was born on 12 March 1918 in Naracoorte.

Francis Gilbert Gould. He was born on 17 December 1920 in Naracoorte. He died on 16 January 1978 in Peterborough, South Australia, and was buried there on 18 January 1978 (3).

Their father George Gould died on 25 September 1926 at Kingston, South Australia (4), and was buried there.

His widow married Mr J.M. Laurie and they lived at Sandy Grove, South Australia. She died there on 25 February 1939 and was buried on 27 February 1939 at Kingston (5).

(5) "Mrs. J. M. Lawrie, who died at her residence, Sandy Grove, on Saturday night, aged 52, was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. F. Pitt, of Lowrie`s Hill. The deceased was born at Currency Creek and came to the South East at a very early age. She married twice, her first husband being Mr. N. Gould, who died many years ago. Some years ago she married Mr. J. M. Lawrie, of Kingston, and continued to live at Sandy Grove. The deceased suffered a stroke some considerable time ago, never really recovered from its effects. She was an inmate of the Narracoorte Hospital for a period and after treatment there, returned to Sandy Grove several months ago, being cared for by the members of her family up to the time of her death. Mrs. Lawrie was a member of the Methodist Church for many years The deceased leaves two sons and two daughters- Messrs. J. N. and F. G. Gould, and Mesdames A W. Welcome, of Narracoorte, and Mrs. A. O. Lloyd, of Wangolina. The deceased was a sister of Mrs. George Hocking, of Avenue Range, and Mrs. D. Holme, of Western Australia. Her brothers are Messrs. Geo., Ray, Roy, of Lowries hill, and Albert, of Narracoorte The funeral took place at Kingston cemetery on Monday afternoon, the Rev. G. A. Thomson conducting an impressive service. The mortuary arrangements were conducted by Mr. A. F. Giddings, of Narracoorte." Narracoorte Herald 14 March 1939.
