Ellen Dorothy Egerton was born on 4 November 1877 at Bloxham in Oxfordshire, the daughter of Hubert Decimus Egerton 1848-1932 and his wife née Annie Horner 1846-1926.
On 20 April 1909 she was married to Guy Archibald Forrest on 20 April 1909 at the Church of the Annunciation in Chislehurst. He was born on 24 June 1879 at Lacey Green, Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire, the son of John Forrest and his wife nee Eveline Rogers.
They had a son Charles Evelyn Macintosh Forrest. He was born in 1910. He married twice, first Teresa Mary Singleton on
3 September 1932, and secondly Lilian Barendina Mary Triggs on 18 August 1947. He died in 1997.
His mother Ellen Dorothy Forrest née Egerton died on 13 September 1964 aged 86 years at Westgate-on-Sea in Kent.
Her husband Guy Archibald Forrest predeceased her on 3 January 1934 aged 54 years at St Minver Lowlands in Cornwall.
