Annie Cecily Egerton 1880-1951

Annie Cecily Egerton was born on 22 January 1880 at Bloxham in Oxfordshire, the daughter of Hubert Decimus Egerton 1848-1932 and his wife née Annie Horner 1846-1926.

In 1906 she was married to Vernon Moor Allen at Bromley in Kent. He was born on 13 February 1882 in London, the son of Vernon Allen and his wife née Charlotte Moor Wood. He was the elder brother of Guy Oldfield Allen the husband of Barbara Allen née Egerton, the sister of his wife.

When the Census was taken in 1911 they were living at Ordnance House, Burscough in Lancashire. He was a Lieutenant in the Army Ordnance Department. He later became a stockbroker.

They had a son Philip Vernon Moor Allen. He was born in 1908 at Dover in Kent. He died in 1984.

His mother Annie Cecily Moor Allen née Egerton died on 31 January 1951 at Chislehurst in Kent. Administration of her estate was granted on 30 March 1951 (1).

Her husband died at York in 1969 aged 87 years.
