Lizzie Madge Verryck was born on 13 January 1891 in Liverpool, the daughter of Louis Augustine Verryck 1863-1942 and his wife née Charlotte Therese Lloyd 1867-1956.

In 1912 she was married to Richard Goodwin Gould 1877-1953 at Dovercourt in Essex. They lived at nearby Harwich (1).

He was born on 15 May 1877 at Longnor in Staffordshire. He was the son of Richard Goodwin Gould 1822-1892 and his wife née Martha Wooddisse 1847-1922, and had a distinguished career in the Royal Navy.

Lizzie Madge Gould died on 31 January 1969 at Longnor in Staffordshire.

He husband Commander Richard Goodwin Gould RN died in 1953 at Dunfermline, Fife in Scotland.

(1) Her husband (Richard Goodwin Gould 1877-1953)) was stationed at Harwich on HMS Ganges. Later they moved to Chatham, Kent.

The photograph shows Lizzie Madge Gould in 1915 at Harwich with her daughter in her arms. On the right is her sister Charlotte Alice Verryck, who was married to Walter Jackson three years later.
