Francis Eld was born on 7 November 1650, the son of Francis Eld 1623-1687 and his wife née Margaret Crompton. He was baptised on 7 November 1650 at Seighford church in Staffordshire.

He married Elizabeth Palmer in 1677 at Feckenham in Worcestershire. She was the daughter of Edward Palmer of Blockley in Gloucestershire and his wife née Mary Jones, and was baptised on 17 July 1656 at Blockley (1).

They had the following children:

Mary Eld. She was baptised on 16 May 1679 at Blockley. On 7 September 1698 she was married at Seighford to William Ashby of Tean in Staffordshire (2).

Elizabeth Eld. She was baptised on 29 May 1680 at Blockley. On 11 Feb 1722/1723 she was married at Seighford to the Reverend Thomas Loxdale, the Vicar of Seighford and Rector of Tixall in Staffordshire. He was born in 1675, the son of Joseph Loxdale, and was a historian. He died in 1742, and was buried on 21 April 1742 at Seighford.

Margaret Eld. She was baptised on 28 October 1681 at Blockley. On 2 April 1700 she was married at Madeley in Staffordshire to Samuel Peake of Broadheath Grange in Seighford parish, the son of Samuel and Ellen Peake. He was baptised on 19 January 1669 at Ellenhall in Staffordshire.

Anne-Ellen Eld. She was baptised on 17 January 1682 at Blockley. On 19 June 1718 she was married at Seighford to Thomas Waldron of Kinver in Staffordshire.

Barbara Eld. She was baptised on 18 March 1684 at Seighford. She was married on 2 February 1710 at Seighford to John Barnes of Sutton Coldfield in Warwickshire (3). She died in 1747, and was buried at Sutton Coldfield.

Francis Eld. He was baptised on 3 May 1691 at Seighford. He became a Member of Parliament. He died on 5 March 1760, and was buried on 16 March 1760 at Seighford.

Their mother Elizabeth Eld née Palmer died in 1699, and was buried on 30 July 1699 at Seighford, where there is monument to her memory.

Francis Eld married secondly Mary Grove on 20 May 1703 at Rowley Regis in Staffordshire (4). She was the daughter of John Grove, and was baptised at Rowley Regis on 21 July 1655.

Francis Eld and his wife nee Mary Grove lived at Newport in Shropshire. They had the following children:

John Eld. He was baptised on 4 April 1704 at Rowley Regis. He was twice married. He married Catherine Cotton, the widow of William Cotton of Etwall in Derbyshire (maiden surname unknown). Secondly on 22 April 1734 he married Catherine Holbrooke of Etwall. She died in 1785, and was buried on 9 April 1785 at Seighford. Her husband John Eld died at Pit Place, Dorking in Surrey aged 92 years, and was buried on 16 April 1796 at Seighford (5).

Mary Eld was baptised on 25 Nov 1708 at Rowley Regis Staffordshire.

Their mother Mary Eld née Grove died in 1743, and was buried on 21 April 1743 at Seighford.

Francis Eld died on 29 June 1722 in Seighford, and was buried there on 2 July 1722.
