Edith Mary Egerton was born in 1872 at Weston Longville in Norfolk, and baptised there at All Saints' parish church on 26 September 1872.

She was the daughter of the Reverend Charles Cadwallader Egerton 1831-1907, Rector of Weston Longville, and his wife née Caroline Boys 1852-1950.

Edith Mary Egerton died unmarried on 15 February 1894 aged only 21 years.

The Deed of Administration of her personal estate is dated 6 March 1913 (1). Administration was granted to her widowed mother Caroline Egerton (2). The reason for the delay in granting administration is unknown.
