Ann Ferne was born in 1726, and baptised on 1 September 1726 at Tideswell, Derbyshire.

On 16 November 1746 she was married to Joseph Goodwin 1716-1777 at Wormhill church in Derbyshire. She died in 1808.

They had the following children:

Richard Goodwin 1747-1748. He was baptised on 7 October 1747 at Hartington, and died on 17 May 1748. He was buried at Tissington.

Elizabeth Goodwin 1749-1808. She was baptised on 11 June 1749 at Hartington, and buried on 27 March 1808.

Martha Goodwin 1752-1822. She was baptised on 10 January 1752 (modern style) at Hartington. She died on 30 December 1822, and was buried on 6 January 1823 at Tissington.

Ann Goodwin 1754-1840. She was baptised on 12 May 1754 at Hartington, and buried on 18 April 1840 at Tissington.

Sarah Goodwin 1758-1846. She was baptised on 11 June 1758. She was buried on 22 November 1846.

Margaret Goodwin 1760-1842. She was baptised on 3 August 1760 at Hartington. She was buried on 20 January 1842 at Tissington.
