Nat Gould

His life and books

The Criterion Restaurant

The Criterion in Piccadilly Circus was one of the most expensive and fashionable restaurants in London in the 1890s.

Nat Gould refers to a meeting there with a Mr Chibham in a letter written to his friend E.J. Brady in 1897.

In the same letter he mentions their reminiscing about the A.J.C., which would be the Australian Jockey Club in Sydney. Clearly his friendship with the unidentified Mr Chibham was valued by Nat Gould (1).
