Mary Eld was the daughter of Richard Eld 1546-1621 of Seighford Hall at Seighford in Staffordshire and his wife nee Margaret Wrottesley.

She was baptised on 13 April 1598 at Seighford church.

Mary Eld was married to Christopher Hatton, the son of Edward Hatton of Shrewsbury and his wife nee Jane Rock.

They had a daughter Maria Hatton.
