John William Adams 1880-1909

John William Adams was born in 1880 at New Mills in Derbyshire, the son of James Adams 1843-1886 and his wife née Mary Ellen Middleton 1848-1926. He was known as Jack within the family, and was the twin of his sister Edith Mary Adams.

In 1881 he was living at home with his parents at Stockport Road, Newtown, New Mills in Derbyshire. By 1891 his father had died, his mother had remarried, and he was living aged ten with his mother at 9 New High Street, Fairfield, Buxton in Derbyshire.

By 1901 he was living with his mother and stepfather Charles Gould at 4 Midland Terrace, Fairfield Road in Buxton (1). He was a stone mason, following the trade of his stepfather.

John William Adams died at Buxton in 1909 aged only 28 years.
