Francis Hiscox 1855-1919

Francis Hiscox was born in 1855, the son of Samuel Hiscox 1827-1904 and his wife née Sarah Francis 1826-1910.

In 1876 he married Louisa Anne Treasure 1851-1913 at Shepton Mallet. She was born in 1851 at Stoke St Michael (also called Stoke Lane) in Somserset, the daughter of James Treasure, a coal carrier of Stoke Lane and his wife Caroline (maiden name unknown).

They had the following children, all born at Shepton Mallet:

Walter Hiscox. He was born in 1876.

Frank Hiscox. He was born in 1878.

George Hiscox 1880-1881.

Mary Jane Hiscox. She was born in 1882.

Arthur George Hiscox. He was born in 1884.

Agnes Hiscox. She was born in 1885 and died in 1964.

Louisa Anne Hiscox. She was born in 1888 and died in 1908, aged only 20 years.

Bessie Hiscox. She was born in 1890 and died in 1897.

Martha Hiscox. She was born in 1891 and died in 1974.

Oliver Matthew Hiscox. He was born in 1893 and died in 1967.

Caroline Hiscox. She was born in 1895.
